Outer Banks Local Sells Insulation Business for a Great Price

MidStreet Mergers and Acquisitions is proud to announce the successful sale of All Star Insulation, a full-service insulation company located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

About the Company

All Star offers several types of insulation to residential and commercial customers on the Carolina coast, including blown fiberglass, blown cellulose, traditional fiberglass batts, and polyurethane spray foam insulation.

All Star was acquired in 2006 as a strategic acquisition by local entrepreneurs Chuck and Debbie Hymes.  Chuck and Deb also own Home Solutions of Carolina, Inc.  The pair planned from the beginning to buy the business, grow it into the largest insulation contractor in the area, then sell it for a substantial profit.

With experienced employees and focus on customer service, All Star Insulation became well known for quality work throughout Dare County and Currituck County.  Even during the economic slowdown, All Star was able to thrive due to its loyal contractor base and reputation in the community.

How We Helped

The sale of All Star Insulation was facilitated by Jeffery Baxter, President and Senior Advisor of MidStreet Mergers and Acquisitions.  Jeff provided business consulting services for over two years leading up to the eventual sale.   

The business was acquired by Scott Alix, a buyer with extensive experience in the construction industry.  A native of New York state and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Alix plans to continue All Star's growth with expansion into Virginia.
