Glass Fabrication & Installation Business Sold to Entrepreneur
After 22 years in business, Atlantic Glass, Inc. has sold by way of MidStreet Mergers and Acquisitions to Duke Sochalski. Founded in 1995 by Phillip Roethlinger, Atlantic Glass specializes in commercial and residential glass fabrication and installation. From storefronts and custom commercial installations to shower enclosures and custom mirrors, Atlantic Glass has a variety of experience in the industry.
About the Company
Phillip built Atlantic Glass on the cannons of high-quality craftsmanship, friendly and professional staff, and excellent customer service. Serving New Hannover, Brunswick, and Pender Counties, the business experienced stable growth over its 22 years.
Using MidStreet’s proven process, Atlantic Glass attracted more than 30 qualified inquiries, and the business ultimately sold for the full asking price in just over six months.
The buyer, Duke Sochalski, was looking for a company outside of the retail or restaurant industries. With experience in construction and service businesses, Duke felt opportunities in these industries would be both viable long-term and in line with his experience.
The Perfect Buyers
Duke and his wife then set their sights on the area of Wilmington, North Carolina. For the Sochalski’s Wilmington was the perfect location to be close to both the beach and their family, and Atlantic Glass looked like a great opportunity.
“It was in a perfect location, it was in the industry I wanted, and it just seemed to fit with me and my personality. That’s really what attracted me to it, everything just clicked.” said Duke.
“And when I started to dig into the numbers, I could tell they were all straight up and above board."
The sale was completed by Jeffery Baxter, President of MidStreet.
“Atlantic Glass was a great opportunity in one of my favorite areas of the country. Wilmington is a growing town, and I’m confident Duke and his family have a bright future with Atlantic Glass.” said Baxter.
