With four locations across South Carolina in Columbia, Greer, Myrtle Beach, & Charleston, and one location in Fletcher, NC B&L Distributing has operated as a pillar of North and South Carolina for many years. Its past success can be largely attributed to the stewardship of its former owner, Tom Korb. With a background in both business and the military, Tom brought a unique leadership style that balanced strategic planning with people-centric values, creating a thriving business environment.
Tom's professional journey started nearly forty years ago at B&L, in 1984. Under his management, B&L Distributing weathered industry changes and economic downturns, emerging as a strong player in the market. However, as Tom's retirement drew near, he began to consider the future of his company. After much contemplation and research, Tom decided it was time to step away from the business.
Enter Grant Fisher, President of Custom Brick and Supply Company.
Established in 1961, Custom Brick and Supply has earned a reputable status as a supplier of top-notch bricks, pavers, and stones for both commercial and residential customers. With a rich history spanning over half a century in the brick industry, the company was initially founded by Grant's grandfather, D.T. Fisher, and later carried on by his father, Tom Fisher.
Despite its remarkable growth, the company has successfully maintained a familial atmosphere and an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service. Grant took over as President in 2019, and his visionary leadership has not only allowed the company to adapt to changing market dynamics but also to uphold its core values of quality, integrity, and service. Grant holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
