Founded in February 1981, Container Products Corporation (CPC) pioneered what is now a nuclear-industry standard metal storage and shipping container, the B12 and B25. These containers revolutionized radioactive waste handling, and catapulted CPC into a worldwide leader in not only metal containers, decommissioning, and other nuclear-industry services.
CPC’ is regularly audited by the Department of Energy and Department of Defense, the Canadian government, and many industry-leading private companies.
Quality assurance at Container Products Corporation has always been a top priority. With NQA-1 2008/2009 compliance, and 10CFR Part 50 Appendix B (NRC) and 49 CFR (DOT) compliance, the company maintains some of the most stringent quality standards of any manufacturer in their industry.
MidStreet's Solution
Ownership of CPC was ready to retire and pass the company onto a buyer who understood their industry, would maintain and improve their quality, and would protect the employees for years to come. Given MidStreet's experience in the nuclear industry, CPC felt they were a perfect fit to assist in the search for a new buyer.
MidStreet assessed the business's financials, developed a marketing strategy, and identified a list of top-quality candidates to share the opportunity with. One of the items featured in MidStreet's marketing program, was the confidential marketing video.
Given the company's long history in the nuclear industry, entrenched customer relationships, and reputation for quality, the business was quickly targeted by a number of MidStreet's buyer-candidates. Just a few weeks after launching the marketing materials, CPC was under contract with a high-quality buyer in the industry.
The buyer, Master Machine, LLC, will bring many strong capabilities to CPC. Master Machine specializes in high-spec welding, machining, and engineering for the nuclear, naval, and aerospace industries.
